An inn with a past

De Landerij stood here long before this was a park. A 1930s inn along the main road, once a place where travellers spent a night. Back when Friesland was even lesser-known than it is now, when the Rottige Meente was still mostly peatland, and when anyone who slept here usually had a good reason to be here.

We renovated the building, gave every room its own bathroom, and refreshed the shared spaces. But we left the atmosphere just as it was.
